I’ve been working hard trying to push this in the right direction. It started to drift into the realistic territory at some stages. I managed to get back on the right track i think though.
I’ll post some images of the rock zbrush sculpt later, and the rock texture sheet.
I decided to create a toon style western themed environment project. This is going to be an old western gun shop.
I’m starting to get the model to semi-finished state now. Here’s a short spin-around to show the overall composition of the scene. Sorry if it’s a bit quick, just trying to save on upload times.
I’ve started making progress on this showreel piece. Added a few more assets. I’ve put the environment/diorama into Marmoset Toolbag and set up some lighting, which i think sets the scene a lot better now.
I had a little play with the cloth modifier and draped some material over the camp.
I’ve had a go at texturing. Still not completely happy with the texturing at the moment, so I’ll re-work those as soon as possible.

For the low poly mesh i decided to work on only one side of the bus, to save texture space. The half bus finished at around 600 polys before symmetry.
